New Federal Regulations on E-Cigarettes and Nicotine – Can They Banning It Be Stopped?
The most recent news surrounding the world of electric cigarettes and vapors is that kids are getting hooked on them in the same way readily as adults. While it’s hard to argue that the flavorings and other additives in the smokes aren’t dangerous, they can be quite addictive and create problems with quitting. It’s very difficult for a person to give up smoking without exceptional withdrawal symptoms which are so synonymous with the physical act of smoking. That’s why it can be so important to educate teens about the serious health threats of teenage smoking and the dangers of e smokers using electric cigarettes.
So what does this all mean for smoking cessation products? For starters, we have to start paying more focus on how the companies that produce the products are promoting them. There is no doubt that lots of companies have pulled out the advertising money from television ads and other media in order to not only attract new customers but to get rid of the smokers that are already hooked. In a global where youth smoking is reaching all-time highs, companies offering vaporizers and other smoking cessation products need to do greater than promote their product.
As a society we’ve come to depend on the cigarettes and vapors as our primary form of nicotine delivery. E cigarettes and other nicotine delivery systems have long been associated with smoking and being truly a drug. We’ve all developed believing that smoking is cool, normal, best for your body and that there surely is nothing wrong with Element Vape it. That’s why we end up with patches, gums, lollipops and other nicotine replacement therapies. Even though it involves long-term smoking cessation, we still put our rely upon products that mimic cigarettes.
In light of the it’s pretty clear that the cigarettes and other smoking cessation products need to be viewed much more closely. Wish new product looks like a cigarette doesn’t mean that it’s going to work such as a cigarette. The fact is that e cigarettes and other nicotine delivery systems are not safe. They are not clear of the same cancer-causing compounds and nicotine toxicities that cigarettes are. It’s important to understand this if you want to minimize the impact of the cigarettes and vaping health threats.
The most common type of e cigarette and something of the initial smoking cessation products to gain wide public approval was the blu-ray. It looked and smelled like a real cigarette and was supposed to help smokers break the addiction by mimicking the physical act of lighting a cigarette. In reality neither the blue screen of the Blu-ray nor the specific act of lighting a cigarette can make you stop smoking. In fact, individuals who used e cigarettes or vapes and didn’t light found it hard to avoid. This was immediately apparent in the amount of people attempting to quit using these products.
The FDA eventually received several reports concerning the negative side-effects produced by the usage of these e cigarettes and made a decision to ban them. But they did not completely eradicate them from the market. Instead, the federal government encouraged manufacturers to include a nicotine-reducing ingredient called the NRT in the products. The problem with this nicotine-reduction formula is that it does not reduce smoking simply by itself.
This is not the only real problem the Feds had with Vaping health. Many state and local governments felt that the Vaping health system had been abused. State and local municipalities were closing down the stores that offered Vaping products and claiming that the smokers were simply using the products as a way to get around the smoking laws. In the end the FDA announced that they will be regulating the cigarettes and NRT just as that they regulate tobacco products.
The end result is that there is without doubt that the FDA and the Eiffel tower were correct in banning the sale of the products. But we should also take into account that smokers are able to work with a vaporizer while they’re smoking. The new FDA regulations on the cigarettes and NRT will not change this fact. So essentially, the new FDA regulation banning the sale of fruit flavored and herbal flavored e cigarettes will do little to help us stop smoking.
